JUNIOR PROGRAMING 2017

 








Active Start – Ages 3-6 
This exciting and educational program has been designed to introduce young children to the basic fundamental movement skills required in sport. Basic key concepts will be introduced including grip,
stance, balance and swing in a safe and fun environment. The Active Start sessions will begin Sunday May 28 and run each week till Sunday August 27.
 
Sundays: 9:00 am- 9:45am
Cost: $20.00 per day plus HST



Junior Intro to Golf Clinics
Ages 7-13 - 
( Minimum of 4, Maximum of 12)

Clinics will focus Fundamental Movement Skills, developing ball contact skills, putting and an on
course experience. All golfers will receive a golf gift.

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Thursdays -  May 11, 18, 25 & June 1, 8, 15, 22

Cost: $225.00 plus HST



 
Active for Life
Junior – Ages 7-13

Introductory Junior Weekend Clinics- We will be utilizing the CN Future Links Curriculum from Golf Canada to support progressive development, Players awards and skill development in small group classes. All the Clinics emphasize fun and fundamental movement skills.
 
Sundays: May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25

Times and Groupings:
Girl’s Club:                     10:00am to 10:45am
Group 1 Little Tigers:     11:00am to 11:45 am
Group 2 Big Tigers:       12 Noon to 12:45pm
 
Cost: $160.00 plus HST


 
Active for life
Junior- Ages 14-18
 
This program offers a flexible schedule and learning opportunity that is specific to each junior athlete. Whether a Junior wants to develop their game to the highest level or is just
starting  their golfing journey, it is important that they all have the following: a golf environment to make friends and have fun, an opportunity to learn about their game ( including technique, tactics and mental aptitude on the golf course) and an relationship with a Coach who will support them along their way.
 
25 - 30 min. lessons will be scheduled directly with the Coach.
 
On Course Schedule during months when school is in session (Starting May 27, June, September, Finishing October 28) 9 holes on Course Saturday afternoon, following a 45 min. supervised practice session.
 
During months when school is on break (Starting July 6, Finishing August 31)
9 holes on course Thursday afternoons, following a 45 min. supervised practice session.
 
Cost: 25 -30 min. Lesson Credit Pack       
          $1,625   Plus HST

 
 
New Competitive Golfer Spring Session
Ages 10-14 - (Minimum of 4, Maximum of 12)

8 week series of spring group clinics, private sessions, supervised practice and on course play.
An evaluation is necessary prior to joining the program.
 
Times: 1:30- 3:00pm
May:  7,14, 21, 28
June: 4, 11,18, 25
 
Cost: $550.00 plus HST



  
Junior Events: Future Links Skills Contest
 
This event will focus on individual golf skill contests. The event is open to all junior members. The day consists of multiple skill testing stations. Players will be grouped based on age. Players have the opportunity to compete for the National Championship at the Canadian Open.

Junior League Play
The 6 event Masters Sunday Night Junior League will focus on developing a love of the game via team concepts played over 9 holes. The League is open to non-competitive Junior golfers that have the ability to play 9 holes and demonstrate competent playing skills and etiquette to maintain pace of play. The League will be limited to 20 participants drafted onto teams. Pre-round healthy snacks and a light dinner will be provided at the end of each event. All golfers will receive a team shirt or hat.
 
Cost: Member   $175 Plus HST
          Guest       $350 Plus HST

Junior Summer Half Day Camps
Participants are introduced to the fundamentals of golf and the camps are open to all Junior Members and Friends who are 8-16 years of age. Our goal is two-fold: To develop physical abilities that will continue thru life, such as, agility, balance, strength, coordination and speed along with golf-specific
fundamentals. Campers will work on the following skills necessary to play golf: Etiquette, Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Bunker Play, and the Full Swing.
 
The Junior Camp will be limited to 12 participants.
 
Time: 9:15 am to 12:30 pm
