Are any private golf memberships available at Cedar Brae?
Yes, there are a limited number of private golf memberships available.
Does Cedar Brae have any special membership packages?
Yes, it’s actually the best time ever to join Cedar Brae Golf and Country club. That’s because we now offer value added gold memberships and Associate Trial memberships, plus a new offering introduced this year: Play Days, which gives you three months of playing rights for just $1,499.
Do you have to pay an entrance fee to join Cedar Brae?
There is an entrance fee for a Gold or Spouse membership; there is no entrance fee for an Associate Trial membership.
What is the golf course like?
It’s a challenging par 71 on a 6,521 yard layout that winds lazily through the beautiful Rouge Valley. Guests routinely rave about the natural beauty of the golf course and the fact that most holes are lined by trees, not houses. Is it easy to get a tee-time?
Yes, one of the many benefits of private golf at Cedar Brae is the excellent availability of tee times, whether you are a Gold Member, Associate Member or Silver Member.
How long does it typically take to play a round of golf?
Most rounds take about 4 hours and 15 minutes. Many members can easily finish a round in four hours – or less.
Is the course walkable?
Yes, this is one of most attractive features of Cedar Brae private golf. The course is very easy to walk. In fact, it is so easy to walk that many of our oldest members continue to walk – and carry.

Does the club have any practice facilities?
Yes, Cedar Brae features some of the best practice facilities in Toronto, including a 300-yard driving range with grass tees, a short-game range, a chipping green and a putting green.
What are the club’s plans for the future?
Plans are being developed to renovate or replace the club house.

What kinds of golf swing instruction programs are available?
Head Teaching Professional Graham Castanheiro and the Club Golf Professionals offer quality golf swing instruction for men, women and juniors. You can choose from a variety of golf instruction packages, including a season-long Retainer Package, individual private golf lessons, weekend junior golf clinics and summer golf camps. Older golfers will be particularly interested in Graham’s unique golf instruction program for the +45 golfer.
Are any dates available to book a golf tournament at Cedar Brae Golf and Country club?
Yes, a limited number of dates are available.
Does Cedar Brae have facilities for wedding receptions, corporate events and family celebrations?
Yes, we have spacious dining and meeting facilities in our Club House that are ideal if you need a wedding banquet hall or want an attractive alternative to a hotel banquet hall.
Are any golf events held for members at Cedar Brae?
Yes, we have an extensive calendar of golf events, including many social events and a wide variety of competitive golf events for players at all levels of ability.
I’m considering joining a private golf and country club for the first time. Is Cedar Brae a good choice?
Yes, you will find the existing membership is very welcoming of new members. It doesn’t matter whether you are a 24 handicap or a scratch player – you will always be able to find a game.
What if you don’t know the rules of play at a private golf club?
There aren’t any special rules. You are expected to follow the rules of the game, observe the dress code and maintain a good pace of play. If you are unsure about a rule, ask another member for help. It’s that easy.
What is the history of Cedar Brae Golf and Country Club?
The course was established in 1922. The current layout was completed in 1969 by CE (Robbie) Robinson, a disciple of renowned golf course architect and Stanley Thompson.
What special honors has the course won?
In 2003, Cedar Brae received Score Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards in two categories:
- Silver Medal - “Best Conditioned Golf Course”
- Bronze Medal - “Best Par 3”
Is it true that the course has a monster tree?
